The Legend of Sickness
Generally speaking, the human body is equipped to heal itself. Try making a small cut to yourself and the wound closes up by itself assuming you are a healthy mortal. Yes, it is a given, we, as humans, can innately heal ourselves however...
HOWEVER...
Do we keep ourselves healthy or at least healthy enough?
Supposedly, the human body is a perfect machine and should be able to deal with anatomical aberrations, and so this should make us immortals right, barring accidents?
If we can shield our bodies from diseases, then human deaths could only come from gunshots, knife stabs and car accidents and other things you have seen happen from the movie "Final Destination," but not diseases right?
Now the question is why do people continue to suffer from illnesses such as cancer, heart attacks and other so-called dreaded diseases? More plainly put, why do we succumb to diseases?
Dreaded diseases and ordinary illnesses happen because it means our body's natural defenses were unable to deal with them. Every time there's a foreign matter inside our body, our brain, would immediately dispatch the body's foot soldiers called antibodies to combat them. Now, if our internal soldiers win, that means they have protected the body from a potential threat/invader. But if our soldiers lost, then it means we'll feel it as a sickness or, heaven forbid........die.
Let's say a flu virus got inside the body. General Brain got wind of it and dispatched the 51st Antibodies Division to get rid of them. Say, the human host was not living a healthy lifestyle like not sleeping enough, not eating healthy foods, much worse eating unhealthy foods. Now the Lieutenant Immunoglobulin is on the line to General Brain and asking for more amino-acid bombs and antigen-piercing bullets to take the bad guys away. Now General Brain will coordinate with the logistics/armory department of our body but sadly because the host was not living a healthy lifestyle that the armory commander of the body cannot send weapons to the field troopers. And so what happens next is that with no weapons at their disposal, the invading Flu Virus Army was able to multiply unabated.
The flu virus because left unchecked, they have established colonies and like any prospering society would have over-population problems and so they would have space and waste management problems. First, space management is when they have multiplied too much, it is the time they move to other organs of the body. Then waste management, this is their waste products and they are dumping it to where they have a foothold in our body. These wastes are what's becoming what we call toxins. Because the toxins dumped were too much and so we feel it in our body as pain and other complications. So, yes, we are equipped with antibodies to ward off diseases but how come we contract diseases still?
One factor is diet.

Now think what are we putting in our bodies. Perhaps carbs? Sugars? Foods rich in vitamins? Only you can answer that.
In my opinion, we should practice food rotation and moderation as the key to a perfect healthy body. What I mean by food rotation is try to eat as many different varieties of food. If you had burgers this week, try chicken next week. Then for the vegetables, try to eat different kinds of veggies as much as you can like, say, for this week, you had celery, carrots, broccoli, beans and alfalfa, then next week try to have five different kinds. It doesn't matter which ones but the important thing is your body is getting loaded with different kinds of nutrients.
Then by moderation, what I meant was don't over repeat a single dish or food because our body has like a daily quota for each kinds of nutrients and so eating too much of something will just put you over the limit of what our body can process of a certain nutrient and our body will just put them in the dumpster when they can no longer process something.
This happened for real to a friend, she kept eating papaya fruit every day for a month, and later on her skin was getting a tinge of orange. That means her body, metabolically speaking, was over the limit of processing papain, and so the excess papain she was ingesting was forced into her skin, hence the orange glow on her skin. Like calcium, too much calcium can cause hypercalcemia. So when we eat too much of something, it will tend to have a bad result, and so that's why eating something repeatedly over and over is detrimental.
Most people also getting sick are those people who kind of lack physical activities. It doesn't have to be a full-regimen exercise but walking around the neighborhood can be enough. It could be yoga, going to the gym, athletic endeavors, or anything as long as you perspire. Perspiration is a natural way of our bodies to expel toxins. This is of course coupled by drinking ample water. I won't recommend to drink too much water in a span of a few seconds because anything in excess as I've said can be detrimental. You can only sweat up if you have sufficient moisture content in your body. If you don't drink enough water, then you cannot sweat out the toxins you need to expel. That means those toxins that will linger in your body and could be the cause of pain later or could be the point where viruses and bacteria could start to gain a foothold in the body.
Probably the last thing I can share with you about sickness is that be aware of what's happening to our bodies. Our body is always in constant communication with us. Yes, our body is always talking to us and it is up to us to listen. Our body will say to us our pee is quite more yellow than usual. We did not listen and three days later it turned orange. We still did not listen and it became red. A few days later you find yourself in a hospital bed. When you see it's yellow or orange, then try to drink more water. That's what our body was saying, "Hey, dude, better drink up more water." As Olivia Newon-John said, "Let me hear your body talk. Your body talk."
Our body told us that our hair was kind of easily detaching when we comb our hair. Our body told us that our knee and ankle were feeling a bit of pain after eating some uric acid rich foods. Our body told us our nails were having ridges and dents. Our body told us our skin and lips were cracking up. Our body told us that our arm muscles were twitching quite a lot than usual. Our body is telling us that our head is aching more quite often. Our body told us our tummy is gassy more than usual. I can go on. But the thing is our body is always giving us hints and signals that there is something wrong. What happens usually is we only listen when we it's too late like we fainted or the pain has become unbearable.
Sickness is not something that happens out of the blue. It happens because we have been negligent of our bodies. Sickness will happen because we let it so.
Of course, there are a million other factors why we could be sick but most of the time sickness starts because we are not even aware why sickness starts in the first place.
